In yesterday’s post, I was at Eatery A. It was a different gimlet. Likeable, but different. OK, I had two. It was made with Bombay Sapphire (the common denominator of my test gimlets) and fresh lime juice. Period. No sweetener. I like a tart taste but would have preferred a touch of something to take off the edge. Er, I guess the Bombay did that.
At $8 it would not be my go-to gimlet.
Steven made the drink. He was sweet. But I digress.
The A, which I will be calling the joint from this point forward, has one of the best Happy Hours in town. Tuesday-Sunday, 3-6:00, superb half-priced pizza (made in a wood-burning oven), half-priced draws and half-priced wine (including bottles.) What more could you ask for. A little sweetener in the gimlet, perhaps?.
